Great engagement at the Mediterranean Exchange of Archaeological Tourism in Paestum! On Saturday, November 1st, as part of BMTA 2025, we presented the first results of the 3D models of archaeological sites and cultural heritage assets developed within the LiP3D project. A large and enthusiastic audience actively followed the session, contributing with insightful questions and valuable reflections for the project’s next steps. First Webinar in Italy
📅 12 March 2025 – 📍 OnlineThe consortium organized its first webinar to introduce the project’s objectives and methodologies. The event focused on 3D surveying, modelling, and immersive technologies, highlighting how UAV photogrammetry, TLS, and XR experiences will be applied to archaeological case studies such as Iuvanum, Apollonia, and Amathus. Researchers and students from different countries attended the session.
Kick-off Meeting of LIP3D Project
📅 10 December 2024 – 📍 Pescara, ItalyThe LIP3D Project officially started with its Kick-off Meeting hosted by the University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti–Pescara. All partners from Italy, Greece, Albania, Cyprus, Poland, and Romania attended the event, presenting the project’s vision: Living forever the Past through a 3Digital world. The meeting marked the beginning of an international collaboration to combine archaeology and digital innovation.
